Testing Capabilities

The Opticenergo Testing Center provides a full range of testing for cable products, covering electrical and optical parameters, as well as resistance to climatic and mechanical effects, including unique tests with no equivalents in Russia:

• tensile load and tensile strength;
• thermal cycling;
• bending and repeated bending;
• axial torsion;
• crushing forces and impact;
• tension, galloping, and aeolian vibration;
• vibration strength and vibration resistance;
• tracking resistance;
• resistance to ice formation;
• resistance to solar radiation;
• salt fog resistance (corrosion resistance);
• ozone resistance.

Fire Safety Testing

The Opticenergo Testing Center conducts all types of fire safety tests, including those required for certification under Federal Law No. 123-FZ:

• flame propagation prevention during single cable installation;
• flame propagation prevention during bundled cable installation;
• determination of fire resistance rating;
• smoke generation during burning and smoldering;
• determination of halogen acid gas emissions;
• determination of the acidity of emitted gases (pH and specific conductivity).
